63rd St. Bridge Replacement

The City erected story poles on Monday to look at design options for the 63rd Street Bridge and adjoining intersection. After much discussion, the Council decided to replace the bridge and intersection in their current location.

Engineering for replacement of the 63rd Street bridge is underway and the project is tentatively scheduled for 2016.

Crime Update /Safety Tips

The Police Department is providing information concerning five (5) residential burglaries that have occurred since July 9, 2014. The majority of burglaries occurred while the owner was away from the residence.

Entry was gained through either an unlocked door or by forcing an exterior door open. The Department has identified the suspects in a number of these cases and fortunately several items of property have been returned. ... Read on...
