2015 Paper Shredding and E-Cycle Event

Several Northeast Johnson County Cities will participate in the Community Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling Event On Saturday, April 25 from 8:00 am until 11:00 am at Fairway City Hall.

63rd St. Bridge Replacement

The City erected story poles on Monday to look at design options for the 63rd Street Bridge and adjoining intersection. After much discussion, the Council decided to replace the bridge and intersection in their current location.

Engineering for replacement of the 63rd Street bridge is underway and the project is tentatively scheduled for 2016.

Google Fiber Update

The City had its first kick-off meeting with Google as they are in the planning stages of building the backbone of their fiber network in Mission Hills. Residents will receive a postcard outlining a general timeline of this process.

Crime Update /Safety Tips

The Police Department is providing information concerning five (5) residential burglaries that have occurred since July 9, 2014. The majority of burglaries occurred while the owner was away from the residence.
