Chris Anderson was elected to the Council in 2003, reelected in 2007 and currently serves as Council President. He has been a Mission Hills resident since 1989. Chris was appointed to the Planning Commission in 1993 and to the Board of Zoning Appeals in 2002. Chris received a bachelor of arts degree from Grinnell College and his law degree (with highest distinction) from the University of Iowa School of Law.
He concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, taxation, not-for-profit and business law. He is an active member in a number of professional associations and serves on several committees related to charities, tax and estate planning. Chris currently is chairman and a member of the board of the Estate Planning Symposium and serves as auditor for the Country Club Congregational Church. He is a past chairman of the Heart of America Tax Institute.
Chris serves as liaison to the Personnel Committee and the Planning Commission.
