Contractor Bonds
Concrete Performance Bond
The City of Mission Hills requires a performance bond in the amount of $2,500 for concrete work to protect the City in the event that the contractor washes out concrete trucks in the street, which damages city catch basins and is expensive to repair. It also protects the City in case the contractor otherwise damages curbs, driveway aprons and street asphalt. Provided that this situation does not arise, the contractor will be able to reclaim the performance bond in its entirety upon completion of the job. If the contractor washes concrete into the City’s curbs, streets or catch basins, the City will cash the bond to make the necessary repairs.

Demolition Performance Bond
The City of Mission Hills requires a demolition bond in the amount of $5,000 for whole-house demolitions. This bond protects the City in the event that the contractor damages curbs, driveway aprons, streets, public right-of-ways, or the City’s stormwater system. Provided that no damage occurs, the contractor can reclaim the bond in its entirety upon completion of the job.

New Structure Performance Bond
The City of Mission Hills requires a performance bond in the amount of $5,000 for new houses. This bond protects the City in the event that the contractor washes out concrete trucks in the street, which damages city catch basins and is expensive to repair. It also protects the City in case the contractor otherwise damages curbs, driveway aprons, streets, public rights-of-way, or the City’s stormwater system. Provided that this situation does not arise, the contractor will be able to reclaim the performance bond in its entirety upon completion of the job.
