Road Closure Beginning Monday 2.9

Belinder Avenue closed between Shawnee Mission Parkway & State Park Road. Expected to take 2-4 weeks. Belinder will be closed for new storm sewer infrastructure related to a project at the pumpstation.

Update 2/13/26: There is a temporary closure in Fairway on State Park Rd between Aberdeen Rd and Fairway Rd to remove a tree. This should start Tuesday 2/17/26 and should only last a day or two.

Rentals now require a permit in our community. Renting any lot or structure* for fewer than 60 days is not permitted. The City has had a restriction on the minimum rental period for a number of years but recently put a rental license program in place. The license requires contact information, an exterior inspection of the property, and a license/inspection fee. The goal of the program is to ensure the community and neighbors are not negatively impacted by rentals, and to be sure the City has contact information in case any issues arise.
